West Coast Adventure – Arizona

The next day we drove just past Flagstaff, AZ to Williams, where we will stay at the Canyon Motel and RV park for a few nights, where it’s only 80 degrees, no humidity, and tons of mountains and evergreens!  The downtown area of Williams is so neat, and about 1 hour from the Grand Canyon.  Just two one way streets full of restaurants and shops, most with 50’s Route 66 themes, and a steam train that takes you to the Grand Canyon.  Really neat area!  It’s at 6700′ elevation so we are staying hydrated!

They rent out a few different train cabooses and passenger cars, which is really neat!

Downtown Williams:
We headed to the Grand Canyon Friday evening, and it was as amazing as the first couple of times we had seen it.  This was our boys’ first time to see it, and they thought “it was AWESOME!”.

On our way out of the Grand Canyon, several people were pulled over to take photos of a giant elk!  He acted like we weren’t even there.  We got within 20 feet of him…so awesome!IMG_1332
