Today we drove a couple of hours toward the coast where we will be staying near Cape Canaveral in a small town named Mims (you can see it on the map below). Really pretty scenery and gorgeous weather!!
We got all set up at the KOA in Mims, FL. Very very tight roads with in the park, but pretty scenery.
We immediately drove about 35 minutes to Cocoa Beach to spend the afternoon.
We could see the NASA space shuttle building in the distance. We can’t wait to get a closer look at that! Also, the Kennedy Space Center is nearby and we are going to visit that tomorrow.
It was neat to see a Disney cruise ship docked at Port Canaveral! Someday…
We also saw the biggest Ron Jon surf shop ever!
To grab some lunch at a neat place called Long Doggers:
Avin didn’t like his SpongeBob popsicle, so guess who took care of it!
Super tiny seashell!
The Cocoa Beach version!
We saw some people skim boarding in the surf and it looked so fun we had to go get our own boards!
Caught a sunset at Manatee Sanctiary Park…but no Manatees!
We ate dinner at a neat Italian place called Zarrella’s, and when the song “Sweet Caroline” came on, everyone the restaurant sang the “Sweet Caroline….BAH BAH BAHH!” So neat!!!!

NICE looking beach area. Looks like a fun place. Kids sure seem to be having a great time. Perfect weather too. Lucky you!!
Been to that area, really nice indeed… enjoy
