Out West 2021 – Part 7 (Seattle)

Day 24

This morning I met Todd and Arlene for breakfast at Lil’ Jon’s! It was fun to catch up! We then took it easy for most of the day. It’s nice to have days where we don’t do much so we’re not worn out trying to go go go.

We were in Seattle today at a Goodwill store and on the way home we were driving down Rainier Street. Pretty obvious why they named it that!

I then decided to stop off at Mercer Island on our way home and I found Dragon Park, where we used to go when I was little! It’s so neat that it is still there and our kids got to play on it (and us too!). It was kind of surreal to go there, like I had stepped back in time, since nothing had changed about it. L

Day 25

We decided to leave out tomorrow instead of moving to Lake Pleasant in Bothell. So, today was our last full day here!

We went to Spud Fish & Chips next to Juanita Beach in Kirkland.

While we were eating, Carla said “this was an expensive meal!”. She had paid for it and I wasn’t paying attention. It was $75!! Holy cow! I took a picture of the menu to show the prices:

I saw the two bridges that Minda and I used to watch for to know that we were almost home! 🙂

We then went downtown Seattle one more time.

We ended the night eating at spaghetti factory in Lynnwood! And can you believe they couldn’t serve Mizithra cheese because their grater was broken?! Noooooo!!!!!! We weren’t quite sure what to do… never been faced with this situation before! 🙂

Avin’s fancy new haircut! He sure looks older now!

Day 26

The dreaded day finally came, where we had to get our RV out of the ridiculous parking lot of an RV park. We were able to do it without too much trouble actually. Never again will I step foot in this RV park!

We headed down I-90 east toward Spokane.

The landscape quickly changed to desert and rolling hills of grass!

We checked into Liberty Lake RV Campground, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum as the Trailer Inns RV Park in Bellevue! The only downside was all of the paperwork they make you sign when you check in.
